Hi, I've just been made aware of Asterisk through the article on Slashdot. We're a small UK company with a ISDN-30 link to the office and a Meridian (Nortel) PBX. We're expanding and moving offices soon and I'm looking seriously at VoIP technologies. So starter for ten, can Asterisk interface in with ISDN-30 technology? I'm assuming the set-up is a server sat running Asterisk with some kind of interface card to the telephone system. I've no idea how the ISDN-30 is terminated in the office either :-) Cheers, Rob. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Hi Bob, Thanks for the reply. If Asterisk didn't interface with POTS then it was a non-starter for us. I'll keep a note of the contact name. We have 4 PRI lines to MCI and we have had in the past connections to BT. If you are looking for someone to provide a system, then see James Bulman on 0207 019 0971. If you're just looking for some small technical help, then I can help. B -- Bob Goddard Computing Ltd. 68 Nethertown Broad Street Dunfermline Fife KY12 7DS Tel: 01383-720429 Mobile: 07940 032082
I've just finished building an ISDN30 system. You will need a TE110P from Digium which will cost around ?350. Took a couple of hours - the only thing you have to be careful of is the zaptel.conf file and the zapata.conf file. My configs are for a 12 channel ISDN30 on BT in London. If you would like a copy of them, feel free to contact me off list. robbie
yes, this also known as an E-1 PRI ----- Original Message ----- From: Rob Nicholson To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Sent: Sunday, March 20, 2005 6:20 AM Subject: [Asterisk-Users] ISDN-30 in UK Hi, I've just been made aware of Asterisk through the article on Slashdot. I just got my TE110P yesterday, I've got it showing a green stable light, so all installed ok and seeing BT's Network. Can't get an outside line or get incoming. I've got 8 lines open on my ISDN30. I would greatly appreacate it, if you could email me the configs you used to get it going. Tim. timothyjpotter@hotmail.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
