asterisk users - Mar 2005 - Pickup extensions for Zap channels does not work

I am trying to make *8 pickup extension to work.
if i get a call from-pstn or from anywhere i can get that call by dialing *8 
  in my IP phone,.
but if i dial *8 from an analog phone while ringing another phone of my 
group..

Is there something else i have to configure...
please help me..
