asterisk users - Jan 2005 - HW ? on Getting a new Asterisk Box

Good Day List,

	I am looking for some feed back on a new Asterisk Box.

	I am looking to spend my money wisely on a new dev box.

	I have been given the go ahead on the following expenditure and
seek your advice.

	SuperMicro X5DPA-GG MB
		Key Features
			1. Dual IntelR XeonT Support up to 3.2 GHz 
			2. IntelR E7501 Chipset 
			3. Up to 8GB DDR 266/200 SDRAM 
			4. Dual IntelR 82541 Gigabit Ethernet Controller

			5. Dual ATA/100 IDE Channels 
			6. ATI RageXL 8MB PCI Graphic Controller 
			7. 2 x 64-bit 100/66 MHz PCI-X (3.3V)
	460W power supply
	Dual Xeon 2.66
	(2) Maxtor DiamonMax Plus 9 120GB Serial ATA 7200rpm 8MB
Connected to Raid Controller
	(2) 512MB PC2100 Registered LP

	First question with all the discussions on Motherboards on this
list, Are there any thoughts on the motherboard?

	Secondly, Is there any advantage to have SCSI Over SATA or
vice-versa.

	Lastly, I will be running this system in command line mode (NO
X) does the fact the MB has onboard video create an issue for me.

In my experience with Linux, any onboard video is just fine for console.
