Yes, Yes I know you could do all sorts of fun with the dialplan to 
produce a similar effect, but I still would like to be able to do this. 
Plus it's easy money :).

I have some users with a 7960 who are administrative assistants who 
monitor calls for 3 or 4 other people. It'd be nice to have two line 
instances for them, and one for the person(s) whom they assist.

Allow a SIP device to register more than once so a single extension may 
exist in multiple locations.

Eh... Sort of like "shadow" lines ???

Remember that "Dial(SIP/1 & H323/1 &
ZAP/1,[timeout],[options],[URL])" will dial all 3 extensions simultaneously
(regardless of channel choice) and with a little tinkering in your dialplan you
can even activate/deactivate this from the "Manager Station"....

Why make it harder than it really is ??? I believe this is exactly what they do
when programming your regular (old world) PBX systems...
