Hello, I have a tradititional PRI-PBX internally before my Asterisk Server, it looks like this: PSTN-PRI->ASTERISK->ALCATEL I did not and I dont want to change my PBX Setup. My Users are used to hear a dialtone after dialing "0" with a phone on the Alcatel. In my asterisk setup I use overlapped dialing, so there is no more dialtone and that confuses my users. Is there any Trick to simulate a Dialtone after the users dial a "0" for an outgoing call ? Asterisk does not see the "0", it is kept in the Alcatel and only the numbers after the zero are sent to the asterisk-server in overlapped mode one-by-one, "0" here means PSTN, I think many other countries use "9" for this. There must be some way, there is a dialtone as soon as I plug in the Alcatel directly to the PSTN-PRI.
