in general, X11 clients need R6 libs to work with a localhost
X11 forwarding server.  on HP-UX 11 /usr/bin/X11/xterm uses
R5 libs.  try /usr/contrib/bin/X11/xterm which is in the
X11.X11-RUN-CTRB fileset.
