openssh unix dev - Dec 2001 - gnome-ssh-askpass and kinput2

Has anyone had problems using gnome-ssh-askpass with kinput2 running?
If I click in the text entry box, gnome-ssh-askpass hangs - which is
bad because it has grabbed the Xserver at that point.
