openssh unix dev - Jan 2000 - 1.2.1pre25 on IRIX 6.5

Built it OK, and the daemon runs fine, but the client has a
problem. It identifies all remote hosts as 255.255.255.255 and
complains that the key differs:

de5 at sws5$ ssh sws31 date
Warning: the host key for 'sws31.cind.ornl.gov' differs from the key for
the IP address '255.255.255.255'

Any ideas?
