Somewhere between 4.1p1 an 4.3p2, the -i option for sshd "broke".
I built 4.3p2 using the same options as 4.1p1 on Solaris 9. I use the
same configuration files for both versions
4.3p2 produces the following syslog message when executed via inetd :
