Syslinux - Jul 2010 - loading new config from the command line

Hi,

How can I load a new configuration file from the command line?  If i
<TAB> over a menu item doing this, I see something like

.config blah.conf

but it isn't actually understood (.config not found) by Syslinux.
And what's the deal with the other .-commands?

Dot-commands are metacommands only understood by the menu system.  That
will hopefully get fixed when the CLI moves to C.  However, if you have
config.c32 available, you can use "config blah.conf".
