dtrace discuss - Sep 2009 - How to use DTrace to check/monitor the actual memory bus speed in Sun svr?

We noted that memory bus speed for Sun X4270 Nehalem servers might be different
(depends on how many DIMMs are populated per channel).

Do you know any Solaris command or DTrace script to check the actual memory bus
speed?

Note:
18 DIMM slots total for DDR3 memory. DIMMs are organized in 3 channels per
processor and 3
DIMM slots per channel..
? Memory bus speed of 1333 MHz is supported on Intel Xeon models X5570 and X5560
only when
used with 1333 MHz DIMMs and when no more than two DIMMs are populated per
channel.
? Memory bus speed of 1066 MHz is supported on all offered Intel Xeon models
with any of the offered
DIMMs and when no more than two DIMMs are populated per channel.
? When 3 DIMMs are populated per channel, the memory bus speed is 800 MHz.

I would first try prtconf -v to see if the bus speed is listed as a property of
the bus'' driver.
