[crossbow-discuss] Port forwarding to non-global zones and external IPs - recipe? (snv_134)
Hello Crossbow-ers: Other than a bit of testing back when Crossbow was only a glint in its developers'' eyes, we''re relatively new to Crossbow, and are trying to implement our first real environment. In brief: we''d like to put an etherstub in our global zone (or in its own, if this is recommended), with port forwarding to specific vnics, each on its own non-global zone. In addition, we''d like to forward specific ports, in some cases, to IP addresses external to the openSolaris box. Resource management will be part of this, but is not a concern at the moment. Have started the research with this very helpful post from Nicolas Droux: http://blogs.sun.com/droux/entry/private_virtual_networks_for_solaris and will continue from there. Does anyone know of a specific recipe? Before going further, openSolaris indicates that we already have an etherstub and vnic in place: dladm show-link indicates that sw1 etherstub 9000 unknown -- -- v1 vnic 9000 unknown -- sw1 Can we start with these? Or are they in use by something else installed by OS itself? Is there a way to know/check? Many thanks. Lou -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
