Xapian discuss - Apr 2006 - Downloaded Omega 0.9.4 free search engine, where to find the launching manual.

Hello,  I downloaded Omega 0.9.4 free search engine, can't seem to find any 
read me  files to explain how to get this program started, please point me in 
the correct  direction.
 
Lastly,  which has  a better search engine for more web pages, Xapian or 
Xapians  Omega?

The documentation is in the docs subdirectory of the omega source code -
docs/quickstart.txt and docs/overview.txt are a good place to start.

Xapian is a library for building search applications.  Omega is a search
engine built using Xapian.
