Xapian discuss - Feb 2006 - Working Demo for WWW Search Engine

Step 1 - Export all fields from mydb and mytable

Step 2. - Create indexscript file

Step 3. - Create index directory /x1
          and run scriptindex
===============================================suse: scriptindex /x1 indexscript
inputfile
records (added, replaced, deleted) = (3, 0, 0)


Step 4. - Search for terms
=============================================suse: quest -d /x 'two'
2 [100%]
body=Google test content text, two
title=Google Search Engine
url=http://google.com

Note that actions are processed from left to right, so none of the
weight actions has any effect.  There's code in scriptindex to warn
of useless actions, but you've hit a case it doesn't handle (weight
followed by an action which has an effect, but doesn't use the weight
set).

I've just removed this blindspot from scriptindex's warning code.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to achieve.  Or was this meant as
a sort of "howto" for using dbi2omega and scriptindex?  There really
should be a "dbi2omega.txt" (I actually have an empty file of that
name
in my source tree to remind me to write one!)
