dovecot - Oct 2005 - pop3 behaviour

Hi!

I'v installed dovecot over um-pop3 today. Dovecot has only pop3 enabled. 
imap will be enabled later. But there is one issue - on some accounts, after 
receiving mail to Outlook Express, mail is not deleted from 
/var/mail/username mbox file, and on most it is deleted. Why it works in 
that way?

I'm sure thet they have 'keep mail on server' unchecked. When
uw-ipop3d was
used, mail was correctly deleted.

What Dovecot version? Have you explicitly set default_mail_env setting,
or are you just relying on Dovecot doing the autodetection which might
use something else than /var/mail/user for some users depending on what
they have in their home directory?
