Xapian discuss - Sep 2008 - new to xapian - installation problem (php)

Hi all!

I'm new to this list and I'm trying to figure out how to work with
xapian.
I want to use xapian from php and by executing the php-scripts
through my web-server.

I'm using FreeBSD (but I' a newbie here too) and installed the ports
for xapian-core and xapian-bindings.

Where do I go form here? Can't find anything about xapian anywhere on
the FreeBSD-server (except for the ports that is)...

I've solved the problem by locating the files xapian.so and xapian.php
and copying them to the correct folders.

Is there some documentation about indexing data for xapian. The quick
start guide is too simple. I need to know about prefixes and stuff to
be able to index my database correct...
