Xapian discuss - Oct 2007 - Remote() support for Perl

It seems there is no support yet for remote database querying in Perl.

 From the cpan documentation: "Unwrapped methods:  The following methods 
are not yet wrapped: Enquire::get_eset(...) with more than two 
arguments, Query ctor optional "parameter" parameter,
Remote::open(...),
static Stem::get_available_languages()..."

I was wondering.. is that still true? Is there no way to query remote 
databases with Perl?
Noone had a need for that thus far in Perl?
Alternatively, any plans to wrap this in the near future?

Yes, Remote::open() isn't wrapped.  Neither is Auto::open_stub() which
would provide a way to work around that.

While I'd like to have everything wrapped, I'm not sure when I'll
have
time to look at this.

If you want to take a look for yourself, it should be pretty easy even
if you aren't very familiar with XS.
