That should compile very easily - that's the platform I'm on.
Is it actually a problem with compiling Xapian? (ie, errors occurring
when trying to build the code). If so, could you paste the output of
the compiler here (or post a link to a webpage with it on, if the output
is very large).
Flint is included in Xapian builds unless you explicitly turn it off, so
if you just download Xapian and compile, you'll have a Xapian build
containing Flint (as well as Quartz). However, in the 0.9.10 release,
Flint is still not the default database (it won't be made the default
until 1.0 is released). To persuade your application to use Flint, you
can either set an environment variable, or modify your code: both
methods are explained on the following wiki page:
