Hi all, I took the CVS from WineX (as mentioned on the transgaming.com Website). I downloaded fine and compiled fine. But: I have only a wine exec, but no winex. In the tools subfolder, there is a winex. But when I run it it just states, that some dir´s are missing (/usr/lib/transgaming and so on). The exec winex is only a script, no bin. Does somebody know how to build a real winex with DX8 Support? Or is the only chance to get this thingy by subscribing? Thank you very much in advance! cu... buedi!

Thank you very much in advance!I'm just guessing here, but I suspect that its binary is just named "wine", not winex. (after all, it is for the most part just an expanded version of vanilla WINE) -- GCS/J d s+:-- a--- C++++ UL++++S+ P+ L+++(++)>+++++$ E---- W++ N+ o? Build ok fMesa-common. I installed the following. Mesa-common-devel libxpm4 libxpm4-devel ncurses Then I do a ./configure --prefix=/opt/winex make depend make make install Then I export the required wine variables before running/installing software :)) On Tue, 26 Feb 2002 08:15:21 +0100, Patrick Buedi wrote:> Hi all, > > I took the CVS from WineX (as mentioned on the transgaming.com Website). > I downloaded fine and compiled fine. Maybe Plasma is right... and there is no real winex exec. I am just confused, because on the transgaming HP they speak of a winex executable. It doesn´t matter... till now I got only sol.exe running... maybe I find time on the weekend and get my Monkey Island 4 running... I read that I should use --gl to run in it OpenGL Mode. But I can´t get it installing. I would do some excessive FAQ / HowTo reading on the weekend... sure I can solve the problem. But strange... no winex exec... =:-| cu... buedi!
