A very special thanks to H. Peter for finding the time to [at least partially, if not wholly] scrutinize and merge the El Torito emulation code for MEMDISK! I'd like to ask that those who've previously used the stale MEMDISK-ISO switch to this latest[1] MEMDISK proper and report any failures. Gert, I believe this version addresses the PloP .ISO trouble you reported. Could you please confirm or deny? Thanks, - Shao Miller [1] http://git.zytor.com/?p=syslinux/syslinux.git;a=summary Syslinux 3.84-pre4
Nice job! I know I've had you in production on kernel.org for a month or so now but this is definitely good news! - John 'Warthog9' Hawley Miller, Shao wrote:> A very special thanks to H. After I compiled MEMDISK with the 2 patches added after the release of syslinux 3.84-pre4, it did work great :-D. I also tried Dell diagnostics (iso with a hard disk emulation boot sector) in qemu and it looks like it works. I don't know any other iso's that use hard disk emulation. - Gert Hulselmans
