Hello! ethersel.c32 does not seem to work with all PCs. I have prepared a floppy that uses ethersel.c32 to load a NIC-specific file (etherboot .zlilo image). See http://etherboot.anadex.de for details. It works with every NIC and every PC I own, but not with VMWare. I know VMWare has some problems, so that did not bother me at all and I published it anyway but I have received several e-mails about problems with ethersel.c32 and real PCs. e.g. in spite of the line # DEV DID 1106:3065 viarhine.lil and a NIC like this: 00:12.0 Class 0200: 1106:3065 (rev 74) ethersel.c32 is not able to continue. Any ideas? Cheers Alex

Hello!> How does it fail for you?The message on my screen is: Error: no recognized network card found!> Could you send me the output of "lspci -vv -xxx" from this machine? Here is the output of a different machine. ethersel.c32 fails with it too. It is a laptop (AMD 2200+) with a VIA-NIC. You can download dmesg and lspci output from http://www.stud.uni-karlsruhe.de/~ukhi/ethersel/ Do you also want the dmesg/lspci output of VMWare? Cheers Alex

Is there anything I can do to help? Alex
