Can someone tell me what is supposed to go into pxelinux.cfg/default ? I get the intial transfer of pxelinux.0 to the client and I'm not really sure what is supposed to happen next.. I get an error msg about TFTP server does not support the tsize option, but that may be simply because the corret file isn't there to be transferred. Can I download the correct file from anywhere? I don't know much about Linux and have no idea what constitutes a suitable file. -- John

You need to replace your tftp server with e.g. tftp-hpa. BTW: That explains why you worry about 'default'. pxelinux refuses to take any tftp response without the tsize option supported, and reports that it's missing it after it tried all files. So you see pxelinux.cfg/0A010101, [..]0A01010, ... [..]0, and finally [..]default, after this it complains about the tftp server being not good enough.> Can I download the correct file from anywhere?Install a different tftp server, e.g. tftp-hpa. Maybe that sheds some light on it. It's a standard config file, if it isn't found it's either not there, the client doesn't know which server to ask, the server crashed, someone pulled the plug or else.
