Xen 3.3.1 Windows HVM Disk I/O -> domU and dom0 hangs
Hi, we are currently working on getting windows working on your xen servers. but we are facing a severe problem where dom0 and all domus hang for 1-5 seconds from time to time. we think it is probably because of disk i/o, because top sometimes says 100% wa (waiting on io) during the hang. dom0 has cpu 0 for exclusive use and the windows vms use cpu 1 to 7. should we give dom0 more than once

printer trouble - missing driver?
I can't get my HP DeskJet D2345 (USB) to work on my CentOS 5.3 machine. It'll work on another machine (with Fedora 7). I compared the installation details (in CUPS http://localhost:631) - seems that Cent does not have the driver. On the F7 machine, the device is "D2345 (HP D2300 series)" and the driver is "HP DeskJet D2300 Foomatic/hpijs". When I try to config my

Freeze with 2.6.32.19 and xen-4.0.1rc5
Hi, i have big trouble with a Debian Lenny dom0 and latest kernel 2.6.32.19 with xen-4.0.1rc5. Due some reason the system freezes from time to time. I used kernel 2.6.31.9 with xen-3.4.2 before. The machine doesn''t write anything to serial console so there are no errors or something like that. Perhaps there is something to see from the logs ... Hardware Board: Intel DQ45CB CPU:

nut in openwrt
Either it is not loaded, or the usb serial and/or hid drivers are not loaded, which appear to have been used on your Debian box. - Tim On February 24, 2014 1:12:36 AM CST, Josu Lazkano <josu.lazkano at gmail.com> wrote: >Thanks again. > >This is the lsmod output: > ># lsmod >aead 4256 0 >arc4 1312 2 >b43

Debian Squeeze hangs with kernel 2.6.32-5-xen-686
Hi all! After upgrading to Squeeze, I am watching a Xen VMHost that after a while it hangs. This did not happen when I was using Xen with Debian Lenny (in this case as with Squeeze, the Xen components are from Debian repositories). In each case I connected a keyboard and monitor to the computer and the screen remained black without answering any key. This problem seems to also affect domUs,

Bug#588310: Xen enabled kernel cannot find the / partition
Package: xen-hypervisor-3.4-amd64 and linux-image-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 Version: 3.4.3-1 and 2.6.32-15 Hello all, GRUB-PC does not automatically populate Xen related parameters in /boot/grub/grub.cfg so I added them manually (see below). All the packages involved on my Dell PowerEdge R710 running Debian GNU/Linux Squeeze AMD64 are from the Squeeze repository. There are four (4) 1TB SATA HDD

PCI passthrough working on Xen 3!
Thanks to the kind person(s) who worked on this. I am using PCI passthrough right now and it works. I hope support is added for VT domains too; That would be extremely useful. So far I have tried a NIC, USB, and PCI Video. The NIC works flawlessly. USB works as long as the devices are present at the time the domain is started. Hotplugging USB devices seems not to work. Tripp Lite SMART2200RMXL2U and Fedora Core 6 (NUT 2.0.3)?
Hi, I'm running Fedora Core 6 and need to monitor a Tripp Lite SMART2200RMXL2U. I've loaded the nut-2.0.3-2.1 RPM. The UPS is connected via the provided USB cable, and that much appears to work: # dmesg | grep -i tripp hiddev96: USB HID v1.10 Device [Tripp Lite TRIPP LITE SMART2200RMXL2U ] on usb-0000:00:1f.4-2 # lspci | grep -i usb 00:1f.4 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801BA/BAM

video issue - Intel Atom based motherboard D2500HN
Hi all, I recently bought a Intel D2500HN motherboard with Intel GMA 3600 video card. I want to install FreeBSD 9-Release on it via PXE, but after booting the system, it seems that video card driver doesn't work properly. Have a look at this picture: http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/5648/20120714393.jpg I've tried the # vidcontrol 80x25 but unfortunately it doesn't help. Do

Uneven CPU speed with CentOS 4.4 on a Mac Pro
Hi list, I've recently managed to install CentOS 4.4 on an Apple Mac Pro. Functionality-wise everything works great, but when trying to benchmark the system, I don't get stable runtimes, they differ by more than 30%. For example a benchmark run with our PDE solving code takes between 500 and 800 s on the completely unloaded machine. Suspicious kernel output (complete output attached):

4.2 Lockup on Fujitsu-Siemens Primergy Econel 200
Hello everybody, I'm looking for some insights on reproductible lockups with this server so please bear the long description that follows: Installed the 4.0 Centos than yum updated it so it results a 4.2 Centos fully updated. During the instalation and update there were no cold boots. That's important because if (updated Centos or not) you cold boot the server it stucks at the
