After Update to 4.2, Samba is unusuable as member server / No user and goup resolution
Hello everybody, I've bin running Samba as a AD member server for ages (Debian stable). After the last update to 4.2, I just can't get it to work. Symptoms: unable to map AD user / groups. After two days of successlessly fiddling (and moving all data to another server with still Samba 3.6, which I will definitely NOT update at the moment), I decided to purge my Installation and start

Excel and Samba Problem
Hello, We have a problem with our Samba server (we tested with two versions 3.6.6 and 4.1.11). When a User edit an Excel file and saves, another user can not save this edited later. The temporary file named like 885E9010 will be created and Excel reports that this file can not be accessed. I have test it with Windows and Mac. Both have the same Problem. This is our samba configuration:

After Update to 4.2, Samba is unusuable as member server / No user and goup resolution
Hello, a reply in debianforum.de led me to: client ldap sasl wrapping = plain and with that setting at least wbinfo works. But still my problems are not completely gone: On the filesystem level, AD users and groups are still not resolved. "Invalid user". But kinit "USER" works. Still have to try... I checked out the server i did yesterday, still working without any problems.   So im wondering whats the difference between 4.2.10 4.3.8 4.4.1. in

Bug#745419: xen-utils-4.1: Pygrub fails to boot from LVM LV when something installed in the volume boot record
Package: xen-utils-4.1 Version: 4.1.4-3+deb7u1 Severity: important When an LVM LV that serves as the root disk for a Xen DomU contains a boot loader (or possibly other data) in its volume boot record, pygrub fails to boot it, printing "Error: boot loader didn't return any data" before exiting. I think this is because of the function "is_disk_image" on line 45 of

Yep 2770 is also configured for sharing path. What mask do you use for files? Recent hypervisor update on Debian Wheezy breaks domU networking
Hi, Firstly I apologise for the cross-post, however I don't expect to get as quick a response from the package maintainers as I do from the Debian community, and this issue affects a service that I've got scheduled to go live at midnight this evening. :( A recent update from xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64 version 4.1.3-7, to version 4.1.3-8 on Debian Wheezy has caused all vm's on this host

xen does not work with amd64 kernel but works with 686
Hello, I have problems running Xen (from Debian 7, i386 userspace) on Asus P3-AE5 system (M2V-TVM board) with Athlon 64 3000+ CPU (AM2, 1.8GHz). In short, Xen is not accessible from amd64 Linux kernels but works fine with 686 kernels. Long version: xen-system-i386 (4.1.4-3+deb7u1) works fine with linux-image-3.2.0-4-686-pae xen-system-amd64 (4.1.4-3+deb7u1) works fine with

nova-compute, libvirt and authentication
Hello I have a question about live migration when libvirt requires sasl authentication. I have managed to configure remote access for user nova with sasl enabled (credentials stored in auth.conf - https://review.openstack.org/#/c/12706/). It looks like live migration do not use these credentials at all. What is more it thinks that sasl is not not configured: 2013-07-01 09:49:09.317+0000: 17997:
