Asterisk-HEAD more stable than Asterisk-1.0. 5
We are running HEAD from last night and 1.0.5 and 1.0.3 and 1.0.2 and they all are running just fine in production environments each handling thousands of calls a day. I suppose reliability depends upon what you are using, but for our purposes they all are very stable. I could do without the memory leaks though. HEAD vs STABLE
I am having a somewhat hard time finding out what the current HEAD and STABLE versions of Asterisk are. I'm currently running CVS-HEAD-08/24/04 and I think I need something newer :-) What are the version numbers of HEAD and STABLE? I was unable to find out by reading here and there. I've seen there's a 1.0 stable, a 1.0.5 (is this head or stable?), and I'm not sure what to

cvs stable and 1.0.5
I see that 1.0.5 is out. I thought that if I am tracking cvs v1.0.x I would always get the newest releases. However, I just did a fresh update and install from cvs stable and it reports as only being v1.0.3. Should I just be using the tarballs rather than the cvs -r 1_0? Or maybe my initial cvs was incorrect? Thanks! -- -M There are 10 kinds of people in this world: Those who can count in

Fw: Plotting in subareas using par(fig=) parameter
Any idea why I can no longer plot two graphs on the same graphics device using the par(fig=) parameter? A simpler par(mfrow=c(1,2)) does work, showing the two plots side-by-side, but I would like the first to be larger. This simple example fails: x<-c(1,1,NA,2,2,NA,3,3) y<-c(2,4,NA,3,5,NA,1,4) par(fig=c(0,2/3,0,1)) plot(x,y) par(fig=c(2/3,1,0,1)) qqnorm(x) When plotted, the last

Sweave : some comments disappear
Dear R-helpers, when I have an R code chunk in a sweave file like this: <<>>= x <- 1:10 # this comment disapears x # this one does not! print(x) #mean mean(x) @ The first comment does not appear in the sweaved document, the second one does. How can this be? I have tried print=TRUE and keep.source=TRUE, but neither seem to affect this behavior. thanks, Remko

[HELP] file access
I use Wine to run Stew, an Atari ST emulator, which seems to be the successor of Winston0.5. I run it in a 800x600 Wine Desktop, in managed=Y mode. While using Stew, I can't access .ST files. I "Insert Disk A:", then I choose the file in the Wine file selector. I valid my choice and then: Wine disapears (exit or crash...). I don't know if the problem lies within Wine, Stew, or

ADSL ppp0, persist
Hello guys, I have two ISP's connected to my router. One via eth2, second one via ADSL modem, with ppoe doing on my Centos 5 . The problem I have is, that when ADSL fails , interface ppp0 is removed. This also removes my static routes configured for this interface. I do not want that, as I have load balancing configured and default route is removed when ppp0 interface disapears. This is my

Windows 2000 crashes
We used samba 2.0.6 under Redhat 6.1 with W98/NT4 clients without any problems. Now we upgraded one PC with Windows2000. In the beginning everything worked fine. But suddenly there are problems: Browsing a specific subdirectory of a share on the server cause a inmediate crash of W2k with a automatic restart. I upgraded to Samba2.0.7, again W2k crashes. I connect to this subdirectory from a

Migrating from CVS HEAD to Stable 1.0.3?
I am sorry to ask such a simple questions. I have been using Asterisk successfully for well over a year now on three servers. I was using CVS HEAD, and the last time I updated was sometime back in July. I decided to switch to the recent stable 1.0.3. I built zaptel, libpri and asterisk, and installed them in that order. All installations reported success. (I stopped asterisk before installing

Bristuff e RealTime: STABLE vs. CVS-HEAD
Hi all! Was anybody able to install kapejod's zaphfc drivers together with RealTime application? I'm in big trouble because bristuff relay on STABLE version, while RealTime is included in the CVS-HEAD. I found this hint, "Installing zaphfc with CVS-Head" at http://voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+zaphfc+install, but it was written many months ago: may it be still useful? TIA, Alex

Stable CVS or Head CVS for using TE110P ?
Hi, I'd like to know which version of Asterisk performs best and most stable with TE110P. I don't need any other features (it'll just terminate interasterisk calls without any other feature - so there is no need for CVS Head features or ? ). Any info on setting up secure interasterisk IAX connections (only one way) ? With IAX authentication by certificates ? Thanks in advance,

-HEAD/--STABLE using 100% cpu
Hello, I've been doing some testing lately on Asterisk. I've had some problems with it using 100% cpu at times. One time, it held the 100% cpu usage for 12 seconds. I've tried the latest -head and -stable as of yesterday. I saw Kevin just made a commit, so I'll try updating again. I was wondering if there is a specific version that someone has done heavy testing on (handling

Using HEAD version of Zaptel with Asterisk Stable Release
I need to try the CVS HEAD release of Zaptel on the stable Asterisk release. I was wondering how to do this. I currently have a stable Asterisk running on a Dell Server with Redhat Enterprise 3 Linux. I was wondering if anyone can give me some pointers of how to do this using CVS. Should I rename the current Zaptel source directory and download the latest HEAD version? Or is there a better way to
