Maildir filename extensions S=<size> and W=<vsize>
I'd like to add S=<size> and W=<vsize> to the filenames in my Maildir storage for newly delivered mails. But I cannot find where I can make Dovecot's LDA add those. Anybody? http://wiki2.dovecot.org/MailboxFormat/Maildir says: A maildir filename with those fields would look something like: 1035478339.27041_118.foo.org,S=1000,W=1030:2,S which is exactly what I want, but it

Maildir filename has wrong S value - possible culprit
Hi, I'm new to dovecot but as I see in mailinglist archive this issue is old and I didn't find this in archive. One of cuplrits (I believe not the only possible) is spamassassin. It's added headers make exactly the difference between S value and filesize. Probably it's in the way emails are processed in "manufactory" of Qmail+Vpopmail+Spamassassin but now I'm not

maildir, how to always add size tags to filename (,S=).
Hi There, I have thoroughly read through documentation and wiki and I simply cannot find how to force dovecot to always add the size tag to the filename when using maildir format. We are using dovecot 2.2.9 (whatever comes from ubuntu 14.04 LTS). We are using dovecot in conjunction with exim with maidirsize file enabled and maildir quotas. For example exim has following configuration:

Seen flag in maildir filename not being respected
Hi, I'm using dovecot 1.1.2 (but I've noticed this since 1.1.1 which I was using until yesterday). It seems dovecot is ignoring the "S" flag in Maildir filenames, and is relying only in its Index Files to determine if a message has been read or not. I say that because if I delete the dovecot.index.* files for a mail folder, all the mails in there appear as unread. Also,

handling filename of compressed messages
i'm running dovecot 1.2.9 and, among other things, i have the zlib plugin enabled. A shell script runs once a day to compresses all not still compressed files on the users maildirs. so far so good, it works fine, there's no problem on that. what i think is not happening 100% correctly is the following: 1) user receives a message 2) BEFORE the compress routine runs,

Confidence intervals on Lowess (eg SiZer from J.S.Marron)
Hi, I have some very noisy, relatively sparse data; a biological response of roughly ~8 subjects at ~8 times points). I've been following the data trend using a lowess line, over-plotted with several values of bandwidth, 'f <- seq(0.3, 0.9, by=0.1)'. At this point, we have no models for these data. I wonder if there is any way under R to assign some sort of confidence interval to

Dovecot IMAP not putting size in maildir filenames
I notice that when you move a message from one maildir folder to another, Dovecot drops the size information ("S=") from the filename. Dovecot also does not add the size info to filenames after it gets it via stat(). Shouldn't Dovecot add the size info to the filename so that "maildirsize" recalculations are fast? Bill

Dovecot 1.2.11 renames Maildir filenames on first read of foreign POPstore - how to avoid
Greetings, I'm converting from a custom POPstore ( > 100,000 messages) which is Maildir-like and uses the filename as the UIDL and doesn't store it inside the message. I'm wondering whether there is hope for config-file options to keep devecot from renaming files when it first sees them, or whether I'm going to need to create a new backend for dovecot based on Maildir.

rsync problem and question about using rsync with Maildir
Hi, I have a Maildir store (about 500 GB) on a linux (redhat 8) server which I am trying to mirror to another identical server. I have 4 GB of ram on both machines. I am using rsync 2.5.5. At present the machines are on the same lan (100Mbit). Everytime I run the rsync, it runs for a short amount of time, (anywhere from 5-20 minutes) and then one of the machines (either the source or the
