And if I get a 404 error? Is this indicative of something in particular? the logs aren't very helpful. My Mac-mini runs just file as long as this text: exclude=grub2* shim* mokutil is added to the end of the file /etc/yum.conf and executing yum -y update and rebooting works just fine. HOWEVER, if I remove that 'exclude' line from yum.conf,...

COX PH models for event histories?
...of proportionality of hazards? I also plotted the Cox model along with a Cox model of a surrogate data set, formulated by randomizing the trial times (e.g., removing any temporal dependencies) Am I on the right track? Thank you Derek Eder Oh yes, the relevance of this question to R ... ummmm. Yes, what is the assignment operator in R? (Just kidding).

Is There an Alternative to MEMDISK ?
This isn't an esp urgent issue, but I'd like to use a certain RAM diagnostic (Doc Mem) which I've already posted a note about a couple of months ago. Simply won't work booting the floppy disk image via MEMDISK. In the interim, I've tried to resolve this by changing things on my side. I'm pretty sure it's a XMS incompatibility, as it fails differently depending on

I guess I just let (i + i++) and (i++ + i) both evaluate to 42. Then + become commutative :-) It seems very strange to me that the ansi standard says "XXX is undefined" and that both clang and gcc can detect that something is undefin...

download of 1.9.1
Hi there, I downloaded version 1.9.1 WinZip file, 9.367 bytes ( so I can update my R and use the vcd package) but cannot get the download from your Web site to unzip and install. So silly! The error message is :" Error reading header after processing 0 entries." I tried downloading from 3 different URLs, all yielding the same message when I try to unzip and install the file.
