Hi, yesterday I implemented a simple hourly snapshot on my filesystems. I also regularly initiate a manual "zpool scrub" on all my pools. Usually the scrubbing will run for about 3 hours. But after enabling hourly snapshots I noticed that zfs scrub is always restarted if a new snapshot is created - so basically it will never have the chance to finish: # zpool scrub scratch # zpool

Dear all Is there a way to stop a running scrub on a zfs pool? Same question applies to a running resilver. Both render our fileserver unusable due to massive CPU load so we''d like to postpone them. Resolve the given path within the chroot, so scrub can be invoked outside the chroot on an already-resolved path. Given that realpath is used, its availability is checked manually, since scrub-file already depends on the "scrub" feature. Slightly ugly, but on the other hand realpath is generally available nowadays, so the check should not be failing. Add few tests in scrub-file for this
