Problem with Wine window focus using FVWM2
Wine version 20010629 running Lotus Notes 5.08 Linux RedHat 7.1 with Xfree86 Version 4 and FVWM2 window manager When I run this version of Wine with FVWM2 the Wine window always appears on top ( always obscures other windows). I use a click to focus window policy and when I click on another window on the desktop it will not raise it over the Wine window although the window I click on does rec...

Light-weight window manager, recommendations
So, I've mentioned that I've got an original netbook, circa 2009, and I'm going to put CentOS on it. 32 bit. Not huge disk, old Atom processor, not tons of memory. Any recommendations for a light-weight window manager? Before I went to KDE, I used fvwm2, and all I'm going to do is use it to read webmail and browse, read news, etc, so I don't need a lot. mark

App doesn't react
Hi all, I've downloaded the sources of Wine-20010510 and installed them successfully (I think). But when running a Windows-app, the window is in screen, but doesn't react to my input, like mouse-clicking or typing on the keyboard. Is this a known prob? Thanks in advance, Bram Schoenmakers :-( ;-) :-)

[Bug 36090] [NV34] [NV49] terminal's visual bell is very slow with nouveau
...nvironment, and fired up an xterm with visual bell running, and it doesn't have the same problem. In fact, I couldn't even SEE a visual bell. Odd. All I could tell was that the audible bell went away when I enabled the visual bell. Now, that's not my usual scenario. My usual is using fvwm2 as my window manager. And while it might take a second or so for the visual bell to run on a reasonable sized xterm, when I full-screen it, it really does take multiple seconds to complete. Running xcompmgr didn't speed that up, but instead of the bell visually progressing up/down the screeen...

Window position in managed mode
When starting, for example, FreeCell in managed more, the program opens with the top of the window out of the top of my screen (i.e. the top corner of my desktop coincides with the top-left of the menu bar). It's not a huge problem, but I can't move the program... -- ------------------------------------------------- Richard Spandit Firmly on the Linux wagon SuSE 6.3, KDE 2.0

using Rterm under cygwin, no possiblity to delete characters
Dear R-users, When I call Rterm from cygwin, I have no options but typing the exact syntax the first time. If I happen to hit the "delete" key (backspace), R dies when I press enter saying : Error: ... (error concerning the function on the last line of text) Execution halted Perhaps some of you have experienced this and found work arounds? One has to be pretty good to type without
