printer does not print (stupid question : ( )
I know that maybe this is an stupid question, let me tell you a little bit: I am using my samba server as a file server and it is ok, but also want to use it as a printer server, I can see my installed printers in my windows domain, I also can set up my printer in my windows client but when I try to print something, this job goes through its spooler and then it seems to print, but it does not

Administration
I know this may sound a bit lazy, but I don't really wanna bother with writing many scripts from the Administration of my SMB-2.2.2 as an NT PDC Box... (like adding users, deleting users, adding shares and modifying passwords stuffs, knowing that I do the Unix-SMB password sync)... So does anyone have good scripts, or some reference pages?? I searched everywhere in vain for that... Thanks in

I can not get into my samba server with my windows machines
Hi, I am new on Samba, I hope You can help me with the next problem I have: I already Installed samba and set it up, I can even manage this using webmin, create the users and all I have imagined to do with its configuration, I can see its domain in my windows network but can not enter to it, it says that is not accesible, I am getting desesperate because the only way I can get into this server

WINS Question?
I have setup my Samba server as a WINS server using the wins support = yes parameter. My remote network can see the Samba server at our head office fine. I have also setup the WINS setting on my PC (W2K Pro box) to point to the IP address of my Samba server. When I do a nmblookup -R -U <IP address of WINS server> <name of my PC> on my Samba server I get this reponse; querying pc1

I see my samba server but.............
Here I go guys! I've already changed the configuration of my sbm.conf, also I made my samba server to be configured as a windows domain, yes! it is found in my windows domain now but as doing double click on this machine (samba) it asks me for a user and passsword, it does not let me get into it, I have created the same samba users as windows, but without any results. I appreciate your help :

cups via web
I am trying to get into cups admin via web to check my cups printer but when I try to access : http://localhost:631/admin , it says that I don't have permission to get in. I was playing with this on my test machine, (redhat 5.2, samba 2.0.3) worked great, and I was really impressed. So I decided to install this on my office machine. (redhat 4.2, samba 2.0.3) and the only significant difference is that on the office machine, I use encrypted passwords. I cannot get swat to authenticate on the second machine.
