[Samba] Possible Problems with the Sybase product PowerBuilder
Good morning, I have a problem and I am unsure whether it's anything to do with Samba. We use Samba on HP-Unix in conjunction with a product from rational called clearcase. Occasionally from getting to our NT Desktops to our Unix environment Powerbuilder Files( which are binary files) get reduced down to 0 size, this gets saved and we end up losing our work. I am not expecting you to solve the problem or even make any suggestions. But Rational seem to be suggesting that it's Samba that might be the problem Could you tell me if you've heard of any problems with powerbuilder files, or any files like powerbuilder. Below are some of our system details. We do use NFS and also Samba v2.0.7 to manage the NT to Unix interoperability. PowerBuilder is on the NT Client Hp-Unix is version 11 Let me know if you can help Thanks Matt Swift Matthew Swift :-) GCIS Application Developer, KESD ODB & UNIX, Enable, Barclays House, Poole, BH152BB * DDI : +44 (0) 1202 403512 *Ext.3512 * matthew.swift@barcap.com Web Site: http://gcis2.barcapint.com (internal use only) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ For more information about Barclays Capital, please visit our web site at http://www.barcap.com.
