I've commented out a few lines in the S function that comes with the XGobi distribution and made 3 more changes or so ... now one can use it for starting XGobi from within R. Seems to work o.k. [Cloning and Copying does not, but does it under S-PLUS?] The function requires something like tmpname(), so it currently has to require our e1071 library. R&R, couldn't we add the tmpname() wrapper to the libc function to the distribution? I've put xgobi.tar.gz into CRAN/src/contrib. I've also added it to the Debian Linux/GNU r-contrib package. Doug, if you're interested in an XGobi package, please let me know. -k =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- r-devel mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !)
