While I''m at it, I should mention that we (www.wesabe.com) are hiring -- and we''d be especially psyched to hear from any puppeteers on this list. I''ve attached the job posting below; basically, we''re a small Ruby/Rails shop doing fun things in personal finance, we''re growing *really* fast... and we''re looking for someone who can help sustain that growth. If you''re curious, send a note to oneofus@wesabe.com, or ping me: I''m emerose in #puppet.. -sq ---begin--- Wesabe (www.wesabe.com) is looking for a great systems engineer to help us built out our personal finance site. We have a fantastic group of engineers, a wonderful and very supportive user community, and a project that both helps people and makes for a great business. Our offices are in downtown San Francisco, right near the Montgomery BART station. We have an informal working environment, but a set of developers who care enormously about making the site responsive, secure, and helpful. We''ve been using Puppet extensively to configure and maintain servers, and have had great experience with it. We''ve also been using Xen and Ubunutu and both have served us well. The main application is developed in Ruby on Rails, but we''ve been able to keep it performant and available -- a challenge but a fun one. I''m looking for someone who likes being given a lot of latitude to make decisions (not someone who wants to be told what to do every day). We have a great security architect on board to support your work. We think operations is critical to making a great web company, and we''re looking for someone with the same view. Take a look around to see what our users have to say about us, and the reviews and awards we''ve gotten for our site. We''d love to hear from you and I think you''d be very happy meeting our group and working with us. ---end---
