[Pkg-xen-devel] The debian dom0 64 bits kernel crashes at boot time
Hi, I just wanted to give a bit of feedback here. i have tried the Xen amd64 kernel from the kernel team and it just crashes with a stack dump on my laptop (thinkpad t500, that is a quite new stuff but will be a common thing very soon I beleive). Then I have tried the kernel 2.6.27 from the Xen repository that you can find here: http://xenbits.xensource.com/ext/linux-2.6.27-xen.hg It's booting and working quite well even though I didn't succeed yet to start a VM with a nic and a HDD (there's a hotplug error, maybe I should try a bit more until I can say there's really some issues here...). Now, what can I do to improve the situation? Thomas Goirand

Do you use this kernel? http://packages.debian.org/lenny/linux-image-2.6.26-1-xen-amd64 version 2.6.26-10. xen2:/usr/local/sbin# uname -a Linux xen2.build2be.nl 2.6.26-1-xen-amd64 #1 SMP Sat Nov 8 21:20:04 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux The older versions had swap-problems.
