[Pkg-xen-devel] using Ubuntu's dom0 xen support for kernel >=2.6.24?
Hi, After the discussions of the last week about the topic of dom0 support, and being fairly sure there is no working solution in any distribution, I've been shown a working dom0 with Ubuntu, with 2.6.24-20. I actually did not believe this would work, and stated I'd not believe it until seeing it - and I saw it some minutes later, Ubuntu 7.10 booting dom0 with 2.6.24-20. No idea what patches they use - a port of XenLinux, or a vanilla kernel with pv_ops fixed to work, but it might be a way to take whatever they do and base dom0 support for lenny on it?! Henning (trying to investigate this over this weekend...)

Fedora and, it seems, debian as well, are both waiting for dom0 in upstream. see: http://www.nabble.com/kernel-xen-is-dead-td18637077.html http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.xen.devel/54274 Cheers, Todd -- Todd Deshane http://todddeshane.net check out our book: http://runningxen.com
