ogg dev - Sep 2007 - Peer review draft for the new media types/file extensions

I'm more or less on the final stages of drafting the registration
proposal that will be submitted to the  IETF.

If you have comments, suggestions, fixes, anything, this is it.

I have one comment:

125 	      Media types described in this document are used only for files;
126 	      separate types are used for real-time transfer, such as for the
127 	      RTP payload formats for [Theora] video and [Speex] audio.

That's not quite true; Ogg is intended as a linear-streamable format
for guaranteed-delivery (eg TCP) links as well as storing 'frozen
streams' in files.  Ogg *is* intended for typical TCP unicast
delivery, eg using HTTP push.  You are correct to note it is not
intended for multicast, low-latency/realtime, UTP, etc.

and similar for audio/ogg.  Was there a plan to 'MAY ignore unsupported
codec types within multiplexed streams'? (I may be misremembering.)

Ivo,

sorry it's taking this long. Do you have a source document for this or
are you directly writing a txt file?

I used to user xml2rfc to create I-Ds so I didn't have to worry about
formatting.

Also, how far are you with references?

I just want to know before I attack the doc and give it a good work-over.
