[Bug 563] New: BUG in 64-bit version of iptables??
http://bugzilla.netfilter.org/show_bug.cgi?id=563 Summary: BUG in 64-bit version of iptables?? Product: iptables Version: unspecified Platform: x86_64 OS/Version: Debian GNU/Linux Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P1 Component: iptables AssignedTo: laforge at netfilter.org ReportedBy: tomaszg at teneg.com.pl CC: tomaszg at teneg.com.pl Hi, first my system is: Debian 4.0 etch with the latest kernel from repositories 2.6.18-6-amd64. Latest (v1.3.6) version of IPTABLES from repositories. I belive there is a bug when editing /etc/ssh/sshd_config file and changing default port for the service. I'm using other Debian distro on system like my, but in 32-bit version. Same configuration and latest kernel (but 32-bit). I will call this DEB-32. On DEB-32 I've changed port for SSH in sshd_config file to 2345 for example, I've changed also firewall rules and changed port for SSH. After restarting services: iptables & ssh all is ok. But on my 64-bit system (DEB-64) I'm unable to connect to the server on port 2345 and any other 4-digit port. Today I've checked once again: It works on port 19 for example. So WHY it doesn't work on port with higher number???? I suppose it not to be like that.. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.netfilter.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
