Hi @ll, can someone pls. tell me how to install logcheck on Solaris 9 ? I also need valid crontab entries that make logcheck work the same way it does on Debian. What i did so far : - installed GNU make as /usr/ccs/bin/make does not know 'install' - copied logcheck, logtail to /usr/sbin and $LOGCHECK_HOME/rulefiles/linux to /etc/logcheck (because otherwise 'make install' fails). - ran make install So far, so good .. but the crontab suggestions in $LOGCHECK_HOME/debian/logcheck.cron.d do not work on Solaris. Also logcheck does not send Alarms to the recipient mentioned in logcheck.conf Thanks for help, David

I'd recommend checking out the crontab man pages on Solaris.> Also logcheck does not send Alarms to the recipient mentioned in > logcheck.confProbably also because of the crontab.
