LightDM - Aug 2013 - locking broken in lightdm >=1.7.5 blocks light-locker release

Hi everyone,

I really don't wanna send bugreports via the mailinglist, but I wanted to
add some information that isn't (and probably shouldn't be) contained in
our bugreport to lightdm. We're currently looking towards releasing the
first stable version of light-locker[1], a tool we have mentioned on this list
before.

Since 1.7.5 locking is broken in lightdm [2], so it doesn't make much sense
for us to release a stable version of light-locker. (Ubuntu Saucy for example
already ships 1.7.9, so light-locker would be completely useless there.)

We also wanted to ask you about the schedule for the final 1.8 release to ease
our planning ahead. It would be good to know whether this bug is critical enough
for you guys to make it a blocker for the stable 1.8 release.
