This is a request for people to try out the singleq branch of icecast, obtainable either via svn at http://svn.xiph.org/icecast/branches/icecast-singleq or as a tarfile at http://mediacast1.com/~karl/icecast-2.0-singleq.tar.gz It is essentially the trunk code with changes to the internal queueing structure and burst on connect mechanism. good and bad reports welcome. karl.
