AW: AW: [icecast-dev] Howto recieve a header or something foricecaststations

These two I never found presented in the http header. Additional they change while receiving the stream. <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-dev-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Because the shoutcast servers at shoutcast.com never sent any useful data in the "real" http header I just threw it away and always looked at the following data (where shoutcast sends plain text stream info). Icecast sends the info in the http header itself.Ahh... Now I got it. I'm thinking that the reason why you're still getting some stream info from ogg because ogg streams also contain metadata. My question is that, in the view of a client, should ogg (or whatever carrier format) metadata override the metadata sent via the http header? Or is there no standard agreement? liulk On Thu, 15 Apr 2004, Frank wrote:> Thank you. I was the fool (maybe not enough sleep:-).
