Hi All,

Im quite a newbie to GlusterFS. We have a setup with 1 fileserver + 1 Webserver. The file server has /storage/uspg type as ReiserFS. This /storage/uspg is gluster mounted to the webserver mount point, /opt/efus.

ie in File Server,

root@fs1pg ~# mount
...........
.........
/dev/ida/c0d0p6 on /storage type reiserfs (rw,user_xattr)
...........

in Web Server,

root@w1pg /opt/efus# mount
.............
............
glusterfs on /opt/efus type fuse (rw,nosuid,nodev,allow_other,default_permissions,max_read=1048576)
...........

The files are written by the user ''apache'' of web server to /opt/efus (which is glusterfs). File writing works as expected but copying the file makes problem. An example is illustrated below:

root@w1pg /opt/efus# sudo -u apache touch test.pdf
root@w1pg /opt/efus# ls -l test.pdf
-rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 0 Dec 1 09:46 test.pdf
root@w1pg /opt/efus# sudo -u apache cp -pvf test.pdf test1.pdf
`test.pdf'' -> `test1.pdf''
cp: getting attribute `trusted.afr.version'' of `test.pdf'': Operation not permitted
cp: getting attribute `trusted.afr.createtime'' of `test.pdf'': Operation not permitted

Now, glusterfs-server.vol file in FileServer is given below:

root@fs1uspg ~# cat /etc/glusterfs/glusterfs-server.vol
## Define the stroage
volume uspg-storage
type storage/posix # POSIX FS translator
option directory /storage/uspg # Export this directory
end-volume

volume iothreads #iothreads can give performance a boost
type performance/io-threads
option thread-count 16
subvolumes uspg-storage
end-volume

## Add network serving capability to above brick.
volume server
type protocol/server
option transport-type tcp/server # For TCP/IP transport
option listen-port 6996 # Default is 6996
option client-volume-filename /var/log/glusterfs/client.vol
subvolumes iothreads
option auth.ip.iothreads.allow * # Allow access to "brick" volume
end-volume

Similarly, glusterfs-client.vol in Web Server is given below:

root@w1pg /opt/efus# cat /etc/glusterfs/glusterfs-client.vol
### Add client feature and attach to remote subvolume
volume client_uspg
type protocol/client
option transport-type tcp/client # for TCP/IP transport
option remote-host 192.168.12.202 # IP address of the remote brick
option remote-port 6996 # default server port is 6996
option remote-subvolume iothreads # name of the remote volume
end-volume

volume afrbricks
type cluster/afr
subvolumes client_uspg
option replicate *:1
option self-heal on
end-volume

volume iothreads #iothreads can give performance a boost
type performance/io-threads
option thread-count 8
subvolumes afrbricks
end-volume

Please guide me to fix this issue.
