How come that when i run X11 under FreeBSD my Intellimouse is a lot slower than in X11 under Linux? I use Option Protocol "auto" under FreeBSD and Option Protocol "ImPS/2" under linux. Somehow it feels like the mouse's resolution is different in FreeBSD. I've tried with Option Resolution from 100-2000 without any luck. -- alex bustamante - busta@33rpm.biz

I had same looking proble on one MSI motherboard with i815 chipset, but I had not this problem with other boards with this chipset, so problem was in ACPI support by concrete BIOS. -- Igor Robul, System administrator at Speech Technology Center http://www.speechpro.com http://www.speechpro.ru

Option "Resolution" "400" Seems to work fine... Jon

I use Option Protocol "auto" under FreeBSD andI had a very slow mouse when running a kernel with the debug options enabled, running 5.x-CURRENT. This was particularly noticeable under KDE/X11. Recompiling without the debugging options, of course, fixed that. Mike Squires
