Systems Administrator (SysAdmin), San Francisco Bay Area Internet Systems Consortium, Inc. (ISC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation dedicated to supporting the infrastructure of the universal connected self-organizing Internet ? and the autonomy of its participants ? by developing and maintaining core production quality software, protocols, and operations. You probably know ISC best from our open-source software products which help the Internet operate - BIND, DHCP & INN. ISC is currently looking for a full-time, salaried, Systems Administrator to help operate, configure, and maintain servers on our corporate network, as well as help plan for future growth in this area. Skills: * 3-5 years of previous sysadmin experience in a corporate environment. * FreeBSD/Linux knowledge is required; Windows Server, Solaris (and other UNIX variants) optional. * Experience with Apache, CVS, PostgreSQL, Postfix, Perl, Request Tracker, BIND & DHCPD, Kerberos, Perl & PHP, Quagga/Zebra, as well as Nagios. * Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing principles, OSPF, etc. * Able to work with developers to assist with operating lab systems, and testing new software releases internally. (providing feedback, etc.) * Able to generate internal documentation documenting operational process. * Able to communicate with technical (and non-technical) staff. NOTE: Individuals not living in the San Francisco Bay Area, or willing to relocate here need not apply. This position will be based at ISC's headquarters in Redwood City, CA.
