Well, I did the vlvindex command from the Console, which apparently did several indexes on it''s own. All counted I have 28 which were autogenerated by doing the Create Browsing Index on the console and 1 that I created by hand. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rich Megginson" <rmeggins@redhat.com> To: "Jared B. 28 indices should be not a problem. Rich you agree ? Sellers On Dec 13, 2007, at 10:32 PM, Jared B. The directory server will create many indexes by default. The browsing index needs a special vlv index type. It also requires all of the attributes that are sorted on to be indexed. But it should not create 28 additional indexes.>> >> >> >> >> ----- Original Message ----- >> From: "Rich Megginson" <rmeggins@redhat.com <mailto:rmeggins@redhat.com>> >> To: "Jared B.
