I'm on Ubuntu and, no, it doesn't work.

I recommend installing Zoom as a flatpak:
https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fflathub.org%2fapps%2fdetails%2fus.zoom.Zoom&c=E,1,K5Y5M138hPU8kIAKZDtG7wgxiAimsZMkn_dSH_5fUIT41t2iEEH9wDFXddj-nSh160S407JVuiuIZUIeZzq_HrHe-XPwgLR_8uTfQzvA32OJ&typo=1
It works well and is sandboxed to some extent at least.
