[asterisk-users] What‘s the best operating system suggest for Asterisk 1.6.2.9

Centos is fine and you might also want to consider the commercial Redhat or Suse equivilents. If you go for centos get the latest.

You will also find the Debian/Ubuntu camp on the list Use what you know. Ubuntu is not Debian.
