I seem to have almost everything working now. The only problem is all of my extensions seem to be busy. I can call out, but not in. Can someone point me to the settings in the extensions file that could cause this. Thanks in advance guys. I am not familiar with your configuration, so I am assuming that they are SIP extensions. If they are and you do a sip show peers, what is the status of the peers? -----Original Message----- From: Tim King [mailto:tim@compnetwork.net] Sent: Thursday, July 21, 2005 2:23 PM To: 'Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion' Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Busy Extensions. Check that the extension that you're dialling is set up correctly. If you can dial out then this is probably the problem. What kind of hardware are you using for FXO? Jason Stewart

Do a 'sip show peers'. You should see entries something like this: 3003/3003 2.22.222.1 D 255.255.255.255 5060 Unmonitored 3002/3002 (Unspecified) D N 255.255.255.255 0 Unmonitored where the first entry contains the IP address of the phone that is "registered", and the second entry is a phone/extension that is not registered. If the phone isn't registered, asterisk has no way to reach it to complete a call.
