Hello list, I am drowning in Asterisk How To sites. Maybe someone here can help me. I ordered a devel kit and while I'm waiting for it I installed Slackware 9.1 on a Pentium III 500mhz box with 192 Megs RAM. I downloaded and installed Asterix as per the CVS instructions today and did the makes as per instructions. I tried it in console mode and it works fine. So what is my question? I'd like to use * with FWD (like everyone else) and sipgate.de. I added some lines I found for FWD and it looks like it registers. Oh, I'm behind a NAT router so I have forwarded the ports 5060 and 10000-12000 to the ip of the * box. Questions: 1) I ordered a TDM400 with one module. I assumed you could add more later. Now I'm wondering? 2) How can I test FWD from software phones on the network? I guess these can be used as extensions, right, but I can't quite see how from here. If these questions are too idiotic, please ignore and move on. Otherwise, I'd appreciate some pointers. I'm seeing double after reading dozens of * sites. thx will
