I'm having a problem defining my channels Here is my zapata.conf ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ; Zapata telephony interface ; ; Configuration file [channels] ; rxwink=300 ; Atlas seems to use long (250ms) winks usecallerid=yes hidecallerid=no callwaiting=yes callwaitingcallerid=yes threewaycalling=yes transfer=yes cancallforward=yes callreturn=yes echocancel=yes echocancelwhenbridged=yes rxgain=-100.0 txgain=-50.0 callgroup=1 pickupgroup=1 immediate=no musiconhold=default signalling=fxs_ks context=incoming group=1 channel=1-2 ;X100P signalling=fxo_ks context=outgoing group=2 channel=3-4 ;TDM10B --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the ztcfg -vv command does not return an error, but there is an error registering channels 3 and 4 when I try to start asterisk. I have had everything working if I define my channels at the top of the file, but I am not able to get any features such as echo cancellation to work if I define the channels at the top. Can anybody see my error(s)? _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
Where are your errors ? For this hardware you also need to setup /etc/zaptel.conf fxsks=1-2 fxoks=3-4 loadzone=us defaultzone=us and do "ztcfg -vv" afterwards Martin On Tue, 20 May 2003, Derek Beaumont wrote:> I'm having a problem defining my channels > > Here is my zapata.conf > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > ; Zapata telephony interface > ; > ; Configuration file > > [channels] > ; > rxwink=300 ; Atlas seems to use long (250ms) winks > usecallerid=yes > hidecallerid=no > callwaiting=yes > callwaitingcallerid=yes > threewaycalling=yes > transfer=yes > cancallforward=yes > callreturn=yes > echocancel=yes > echocancelwhenbridged=yes > > rxgain=-100.0 > txgain=-50.0 > > callgroup=1 > pickupgroup=1 > > immediate=no > musiconhold=default > > signalling=fxs_ks > context=incoming > group=1 > channel=1-2 ;X100P > > signalling=fxo_ks > context=outgoing > group=2 > channel=3-4 ;TDM10B > --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > the ztcfg -vv command does not return an error, but there is an error > registering > channels 3 and 4 when I try to start asterisk. > > > I have had everything working if I define my channels at the top of the > file, but I am not able to > get any features such as echo cancellation to work if I define the channels > at the top. > > Can anybody see my error(s)? > > _________________________________________________________________ > STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* > http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail > > _______________________________________________ > Asterisk-Users mailing list > Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users >

ztcfg -vv gives the following output: Zaptel Configuration ===================== Channel map: Channel 01: FXS Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 01) Channel 02: FXS Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 02) Channel 03: FXO Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 03) Channel 04: FXO Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 04) 4 channels configured. lsmod shows the following: Module Size Used by Not tainted wcfxs 16384 0 (unused) wcfxo 8672 0 zaptel 181280 0 [wcfxs wcfxo] ....... So I guess this is a hardware problem. Should the (unused) go away once it is loaded? ------------OLD------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You don't have wcfxs module loaded.
